Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
A prime example of Riverland chardonnay, with an attractive array of stone fruit, melon and fig flavours; a tribute to the vintage and discipline in the vineyard and winery.

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
This is all about varietal fruit, not artefact; the flavours range from melon to stone fruit, braced by citrussy acidity. You really don't notice the absence of oak. Outstanding value.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; obviously not particularly complex, but punches well above its dollar weight, the fruit flavours crisp and fresh, with a subliminal touch of oak. Unquestioned value.

Jeremy Oliver (2009 Vintage) says
Smooth, measured and fruit-driven, with a lively, bright presence of tropical fruit, peach and nectarines backed by nuances of butter, cashew and vanilla. It's long and generous, with an uncluttered, restrained palate of stonefruit and creamy oak finished by a gentle, soft acidity.
The Australian Wine Annual
James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Has developed unexpected well in bottle, growing in flavour, without becoming broad, just ripe, gently mouthfilling stone fruit.
Australian Wine Companion 2011 2010
Campbell Mattinson (2008 Vintage) says
I wouldn't bother looking at the rating if I was you. If you're in the market for a sub-$10 chardonnay you won't find a lot better than this.
What a spiffy little number ths is. It tastes of musk, toast, and peach but it reaches beyond your expectations because it has such good weight and, for the asking price, flavour.
Winefront Monthly 2009
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
An honest, well-priced wine with yellow peach fruit and a touch of oak; screwcap a boon.
