2016 Matakana Estate Sauvignon Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Here is another fresh, energetic savvy out of Marlborough bursting with tropical fruits. It's a lighter style, with smells and flavours of passionfruits, lemons and grassiness all supported by racy acidity and a crisp, dry finish. Battered fish is the go with this one!

Winemaker's Notes

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is famous throughout the world as one of the most distinctive styles of wine produced. Fresh, vibrant fruit characters and a zingy palate are the classic hallmarks that we strive for in our wines.

In order to focus and concentrate these flavours, grape yields are controlled, and the juice is fermented slowly at cooler temperatures.

This wine boasts lively aromas of gooseberry, passionfruit and grapefruit, characters which carry through to the palate, which is clean and crisp, and has a long finish.
