The Pikes are famed for their Riesling but here they show they are just as adept with other white varieties. Everyone loves a Savvy blend and we have to admit this is very persuasive drinking at the price. Lifted citrus and passionfruit aromas with grassy notes before a palate that is nicely balanced between fruit, crisp acids before a dry finish. It’s the perfect white to have chilled in the fridge in case you impulsively decide to visit your local Thai after a hard day at the office.
Colour: Brilliant pale green.
Aroma: Subtle aromas of citrus, green melon and crushed nettles along with a little tropical fruit and a touch of flint.
Palate: The palate is crisp, fresh and dry with the tropical fruit flavours being contrasted by the citrus and herbal elements.
Summary: A blend of 62% Sauvignon Blanc & 38% Semillon produced from both Estate grown and grower’s fruit.
Ideal to enjoy as a young wine and is good with all sorts of seafood as well as some slightly spicier dishes.
