Cracka Review

This dead set bargain from Redbank hails from the King Valley and shows lots of tropical fruits and citrus zest on the nose with sniffs of freshly cut grass. The palate is light and refreshing with kiwi and gooseberry flavours, bright acidity, and a crisp finish. Instructions are chill and enjoy!

Winemaker's Notes

Pale straw in colour with hints of green. Lifted aromas of cut grass, citrus zest and feijoa with subtle notes of passionfruit and fresh green herbs. The palate is fresh and vibrant with generous green tropical flavours balanced by a zesty citrus acidity and a lingering passionfruit finish. Serve with prawns and green mango salad or kofte with minty yoghurt dip.

Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
No winemaking fault, but is almost devoid of varietal character.

Australian Wine Companion 2014 Edition
James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Straw-green; the bouquet and palate are flush with gooseberry and tropical fruits, and sufficient acidity to give both length and balance. A singular achievement for the vintage, ready to go right now.
Wine Companion Aug/Sept
James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Has fair overall balance and length in a crisp, rninerally mode, finishing with grassy/lemony acidity. Good value.

Peter Forrestal (2006 Vintage) says
This label is owned by the Yalumba Wine Group and is sourced from the King Valley, which accounts for those lovely, vibrant, cool flavours, clean, fresh and lively palate, ripe tropical fruit that lingers on the crisp, sparkling finish. Brilliant.
