2016 Rougiers Coteaux Varois Provence Rose
Cracka Value Rating
This utterly smashable 2016 Rougiers Coteaux Varois Provence Rosé comes from the Coteaux Varois, which is a cooler, sexier part of Provence where the grapes ripen up to two months later and is a spot known for producing some of the most delicate and beautiful Rosé in Provence.
The Rougiers Rosé is a classic Provence pink too. A blend of Grenache and Syrah, it is a beautiful salmon colour (mmm salmon) and combines a lovely pink raspberry fruit with ultra-crisp, lip-smacking delicious acidity. It's not hard to see why this is a gold medal winner!
Pale pink Rosé with clear nuances. The nose is expressive with notes of citrus and mango. The mouth (well constructed, rich and without softness) is expressed on notes of passionfruit and grapefruit, well dosed and which gives a nice length.
This modern wine is delicate with a soft fruity character without excess and will be the ideal companion of a summer meal. Vegetable terrine, fish from ocean and Mediterranean dishes.
Winner of the Gold Medal in the Agriculture Wine Awards in Paris.
