Would it surprise you if we told you that Tyrrell's were ultimately the ones that pioneered the Chardonnay grape? It was in the early 70s which shows what a relatively short time the grape has had to establish its reputation. This Chardonnay has signature stone fruit as well as some well-handled oak before revealing a palate that's rich in peach and citrus. It finishes crisp and clean with superb length of flavour.
This wine was born from the partnership between Cracka Wines and Tyrrell's, both of whom share a passion for delivering the best possible value with the highest possible quality. It is an impeccable union of tradition, innovation, craftsmanship, history and region.
Sourced from a small selection of our favourite Chardonnay blocks, the wine was matured on French oak barriques, and spent time of yeast lees to give the palate added complexity and texture. It shows lifted citrus with a slight hint of oak, with both weight and balance.
