2016 West Cape Howe Cape to Cape Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
Winemaking information: Our SSB is blended from parcels of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes from selected vineyards across the South West. In a season with some changeable weather conditions the vineyards were carefully monitored so we could harvest the fruit in best condition and flavour ripeness. Prompt processing at the winery with cool fermentation temperatures and early bottling, has ensured maximum flavour retention and freshness.
Fruit source: Great Southern and Margaret River.
Blend: Semillon 60%; Sauvignon Blanc 40%
Colour: Very bright and clear with the barest hint of the palest gold.
Aroma: Very attractive and delicately perfumed with subtle passionfruit aromas and hints of tropical fruit.
Palate: This year’s SSB is a delicate dry white with gorgeous palate weight already and attractive, light herbaceous flavours. It’s very delicate fresh snow pea characters and light floral notes are beautifully balanced by the gentle acidity, resulting in a wine that’s delicious to drink immediately!
Cellaring potential: Best enjoyed while young.
