A Mano Primitivo

Expert Reviews

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2002 Vintage) says
A slightly lighter style of primitivo than the burly, robust Zonin, reviewed above, and lighter than previous vintages of A Mano we've tried, but still pleasantly spicy, juicy and grippy.

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2001 Vintage) says
The Italian grape primitivo is related to zinfandel, so it's scarcely surprising that we would describe this as a bold, gutsy red with a supple texture, ripe, red berry flavours and substantial fine tannins on a firm finish. It's approachable and surprisingly easy drinking, especially with a hearty osso buco.
