The grenache wines of Priorat in Spain are luscious, seductive things, and this one is no exception. It comes on strong with vibrant ultra-ripe raspberries and cherries, with whiffs of violets and baked spices. The palate is fulsome and juicy, with fleshy fruit flavours, fine tannins, licks of earthiness, and a decent, succulent finish. You usually pay a lot more for wines out of this region, so jump on in, and stick a beef roast in the oven whilst you're at it.

Winemaker's Notes

Ashy regional nose, with fat cherry and red lipsticky fruit. Plush sweet berries are framed by classic- Priorat orange juice and carrot notes and cut by characteristic terroir mineral soiliness. This is incredibly good value Priorat. Made from 85% Garnacha and 15% Samsó, and aged for 3 months in French oak after temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The 3 months of oak treatment tucks in really well.
