Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
In the past called 'The Gullies', this is an early-drinking style, compared to its Reserve stablemate (below), but top vintages are still outstanding. Estate-grown at Bannockburn and matured in French oak barriques (30 per cent new), the 2010 is a lovely, fruit-crammed red with bold, bright colour, deep cherry, plum and spice flavours and finely balanced oak. It shows very impressive elegance, structure and complexity.

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
The 2003 vintage grown at Bannockburn, was matured for 10 months in French oak barriques. It's a graceful, ruby-hued, sweet-fruited wine with fresh plum, cherry, herb and spice flavours showing excellent depth, but less arresting than the robust, densely coloured, deliciously soft and concentrated 2002 Still youthful, the 2003 is worth cellaring to mid-2005+.

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
The 2001 was grown at Bannockburn, picked at over 24 brix and matured for 10 months in French oak barriques (60 per cent new). Full-coloured, with a fragrant, plummy, spicy bouquet, it's an exuberantly fruity wine with ripe-cherry and red-berry fruit flavours, fresh and vibrant, seasoned with French oak. The densely coloured 2002 vintage is deliciously soft and rich, with loads of sweet, ripe cherry,' plum and spice flavour. A muscular wine (14.5 per cent alcohol), vibrant and youthful, it should be at its best around 2005.

Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
From the Bannockburn Heights winery, the instantly appealing 2000 is a ruby-hued, supple, mouthfilling wine, moderately complex, with ripe cherry/plum flavours of good but not great depth. The clearly superior 2001 vintage was harvested at over 24 brix and matured for 10 months in French oak barriques (60 per cent new). Full-coloured, with a fragrant, plummy, spicy bouquet, it is crammed with sweet, ripe cherry and red berry fruit flavours, fresh and vibrant, seasoned with French oak. It's an exuberantly fruity wine, best cellared to 2004+.
