Ray Jordan (2012 Vintage) says
A punchy little savvy bursting with crunchy tropical fruit. Passionfruit and citrus brighten up the nose while the zingy acid focussed the palate to a long clean finish. Very enjoyable current drinking.

Rob Geddes MW (2008 Vintage) says
Powerful passionfruit varietal aromas, dry, rich, pure, well structured with flesh with a lively finish. Best drunk young.

Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
There have been some good sav Blancs from Alkoomi but this has to be right up with the best of them. Bright crunchy and lively on the palate with a bracing yet quite fine acidity sustaining a pleasantly long palate. Delicious lip smacking stuff.
Ray Jordan's 2009 WA Wine Guide 2009
Nick Stock (2007 Vintage) says
Nice crisp fresh citrus fruit aromas and some cool grassy edges, tropicals sit gently behind. The palate is led by zesty lemon flavour, some richer tropical fruits - passionfruit, guava, mango and pineapple - finishing crisp and bright.
Good Australian Wine Guide 2009 2008
Jeremy Oliver (2006 Vintage) says
Tight and well defined, this shapely young sauvignon blanc has a lightly herbal fragrance of gooseberries, cassis, violets and minerals. Its vibrant, tangy palate is long and finely sculpted, delivering a pleasingly complex expression of varietal flavour and earthy complexity punctuated by crisp and refreshing acids.
Australian Wine Annual 2008 2007
James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Light green-yellow; a fragrant aromatic gooseberry bouquet with a faintly reductive edge is followed by a lively gooseberry and grass palate with abundant varietal character.
Australian Wine Companion 2004 2003
James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; a crisp, light minerally bouquet is followed by a lively, fresh, clean, zippy seafood style, with no flavour forcing.
Australian Wine Companion 2003 2002
James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Very light green-yellow; the aromas are fresh and fragrant, with passionfruit and a touch of gooseberry; the palate has similarly attractive flavour and feel, but is a fraction on the light side.
Australian Wine Companion 2001 2001
James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
1998 may have been a tough year for sauvignon blanc in South Australia, but posed no problems in the west. There are voluminous passionfruit and gooseberry characters on a highly aromatic but not sweaty bouquet; similar flavours come through on a crisp, long and sustained palate. Alkoomi has this variety down pat.
Australian Wine Companion 2000 1999
James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Light yellow-green; a strikingly intense and vibrant bouquet with masses of passionfruit and gooseberry aromas is followed by a surprisingly, but refreshingly, delicate palate, crisp and tingling with good acidity and mouthfeel.
