Allan Scott Marlborough Gewurztraminer

Cracka Review

Soft and subtle amounts of Turkish delight make this wine instantly recognisable. This is surrounded by floral complexities, especially rose petals, to add extra interest to the wine. The full palate is well balanced, elegant and structurally sound, due to the wild full solid ferment. It finishes well and long with a lingering spiciness.

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
The 2008 vintage is a perfumed, softly mouthfilling wine, fermented in tanks and old barrels. It offers impressively ripe lychee and spice flavours, with a hint of ginger, some complexity, and very good delicacy and depth. Drink now or cellar.

Michael Cooper (2004 Vintage) says
The floral 2003 vintage is full-bodied, with very good depth of citrusy, slightly spicy flavours, strongly varietal and exotically perfumed. The 2004 is scented and finely balanced, with plenty of lemony, slightly spicy flavour, showing good varietal character.
