Alluviale Tardif Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
A richly complex botrytis sauvignon blanc that carries plenty of gooseberry and candied lime peel, with strong apricot and apricot kernel too. It's recognisably sauvignon - there's a little grassy edge, and luxuriously unctuous palate texture, finishing with lime marmalade. Really superb balance.

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
The light gold, Sauternes-style 2008 vintage was made from botrytised Sauvignon Blanc grapes, harvested at Mangatahi, in Hawke's Bay, at 52 brix. French oak-aged, with a beautiful, richly honeyed fragrance, it is a flawless wine, concentrated and sweet (270 grams/litre of residual sugar), with an oily texture and lovely ripeness, richness and roundness.
