Amberley Estate Chenin Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Chenin Blanc does not get the credit it deserves. They may not be fully fruit-driven like a savvy, but they pair really well with a whole range of foods and make for a great alternative at a bargain price. This offering form Amberley out of W.A is a citrusy, zesty number with hints of tropicals and grassiness. The palate is fresh and invigorating, with a kiss of sweetness, bright lemony acidity, and a bright, easygoing finish. Try it with Asian dishes.

Winemaker's Notes

Aromas reminiscent of fresh fruit salad comprised of red apples, pineapple, and tropical Asian fruits. Red apple, lychee and light herbal flavours continue on the palate balanced by the zesty acidity. A soft and flavour-some wine with a gentle lingering finish.

Once a famous and big volume wine in WA. The style lingers. It's fruity and brimming with tropical flavours. The slightly sweet middle palate is balanced by a crisp acid. Like the clean finish, Excellent current drinking wine.

This is the style that was such a hit when introduced some years ago. It still works as a great summer drink. based on plenty of lively tropical fruit with just a tiny amount of residual sugar balanced with a clean fresh acid on the finish. It's a good drink.
