Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
A green nettle and tropical fruit bouquet, with good definition; quite fleshy on the palate, taut acidity providing focus on the finish.

WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
Perfumed nose with minerally lime-like characters. Fleshy, ripe palate full of gooseberry and lemongrass flavours, with some attractive complexity developing.

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
Slippery, viscous and rather broad-natured sauvignon blanc with a dusty, herbal aroma of capsicum and asparagus. There's some sweet vanilla oak and rather a hot, cloying finish of soft acids. Lacks great length and fruit intensity.

Ray Jordan (2003 Vintage) says
The first sniff and you're in. It's a beauty. Nice lemon and honey aromas with a smoky lees character in the background. The palate has excellent structure with beautiful fine acid and last flavours. Lees character has added some texture and substance. Excellent wine

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Medium to full yellow-green; the bouquet is complex, powerful, fruit-driven with strong tropical fruit. The palate has excellent structure and length, with touches of herb, lemon and mineral, the oak contributing more to the texture than to the flavour

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Strong green-yellow; an intense concentrated and racy bouquet with herbal/lime aromas. The palate has good fruit intensity, with lime, herb and gooseberry flavours, and considerable length. The oak is imperceptible.
