James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Striking and intense youthful purple colour; the bouquet is clean, exuding ripe black fruits. The palate is at once big, powerful and rich, yet with some velvety softness, all suggesting the use of micro-oxygenation. Trophy for Best Commercial Dry Red at the Liquorland National Wine Show 2002.

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2000 Vintage) says
While this wine is normally over $15 a bottle, it's regularly on special at Cellarmasters (check out the web site) for less than $12, so is worthy of inclusion. Made from grapes grown in Glenrowan, McLaren Vale and the Barossa, it's a good, brambly, solid, red wine with fairly serious, grippy tannins and plenty of staying power. Available through Cellarmasters: call 1800 500 260 or visit www.cellarmasters.com.au.
