Bright, full crimson-purple; notwithstanding 12 months in barrel, this is all about fruit, and Frankland River fruit in particular. Black cherry, blackberry and plum are all threaded through by spice and pepper, the tannins on the medium-bodied palate very fine, but persistent.

Winemaker Jeremy Gordon sources the fruit for this shiraz from Frankland River. Gorgeous perfumed aromas of plums and blackberry with a liberal sprinkle of cinnamon, coffee grounds and a little chocolate shavings. The palate is soft and deliciously supple with grainy tannins in support. Subtle cherry and mulberry flavours emerge with breathing. Great mouth feel.
