Amisfield Dry Riesling

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
Amisfield's dry riesling has a ripe nose, showing stone fruits and lime citrus mixed amid flinty, minerally, stony notes. The palate's crisp, dry and smooth, showing assertive acidity in behind apple and lime-citrus fruit flavours, bright and dry.

Estate-grown in the Cromwell Basin of Central Otago, the 2010 vintage was hand-picked and fermented to a medium-dry style (7 grams/litre of residual sugar). It shows good intensity, with fresh, lively, citrusy, limey flavours, a minerally streak and a lingering finish.

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
This has scintillating purity and freshness, bright lime citrus and fresh-cut apples, some flinty minerals too - really focused and nicely defined. The palate's supple and even, quite ripe moving through to more exotic stone fruits and spice. Crisp acid drives a crunchy finish.

Estate-grown in the Cromwell Basin of Central Otago, the 2009 vintage was hand-picked and fermented to a medium-dry style (7 grams/litre of residual sugar). It's an intense wine, lemony and limey, with lovely vibrancy, delicacy and harmony, and a zingy, long finish. It's already approachable, but should be at its best 2011 + .
