Estate-grown in Central Otago, the 2005 vintage is a spatlese (late-harvest) style, picked at 21.6 brix and stop-fermented with 9 per cent alcohol and 60 grams per litre of residual sugar. It has a restrained bouquet, with lemon and green-apple flavours and tense acidity. Give it time.

The 2003 vintage was estate-grown in the Cromwell Basin, harvested at 20. 2 brix and made in a low-alcohol (8. 5 per cent), gently sweet (55 grams/litre of residual sugar! style. It shows strong, green-apple aromas and flavours, but lacks real fragrance and delicacy.
