James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the moderately intense bouquet has blackcurrant fruit and positive oak leading into a light to medium-bodied palate, with smooth, supple blackcurrant fruit needing more concentration for higher points.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; attractive red berry fruit on both the bouquet and palate is subverted by too much sweet oak, which does not sit happily with the varietal character of cabernet sauvignon. A pity, because there is some good wine hiding under that oak.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium red, with just a touch of purple remaining; the bouquet is sweet, with earthy cabernet varietal character, but not concentrated. The pleasant earthy, chocolatey, berry palate is nicely balanced, but not in the same league as the Shiraz.
