James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; dark blackberry fruit with hints of spice and a· whiff of oak on the bouquet leads into a medium-bodied palate, with well-integrated blackberry fruit and oak; well balanced, replete with silky tannins.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Light to medium red-purple; the bouquet is fragrant, but light, with slightly minty/leafy aromas; vanillin oak makes some positive contribution to the palate in balancing the aromas, but the wine lacks concentration, which is not surprising given the vintage.

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Dark red-purple; the bouquet opens with powerful, sweet dark berry fruit with lots of smoothly integrated oak. The palate, likewise, is concentrated, with ripe dark cherry fruit, well-handled oak and full but soft tannins on the finish.
