James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
The fairly light red-purple colour is not entirely convincing; the clean, moderately intense bouquet has a mix of red and black fruits, the oak not aggressive. The medium-bodied palate has blackberry fruit, the oak more obvious, and the tannins somewhat chewy.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; a moderately complex blend of cedar, earth, berry, chocolate and vanilla on the bouquet leads into an attractive palate, with plum, black cherry and currant fruit, rounded off by soft tannins and subtle oak.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium red, starting to show some development. The bouquet is quite complex, already showing some secondary leafy/earthy/savoury aromas together with some oak lift. The palate is attractive, with sweet earthy/berry fruit, soft, sweet, fine tannins and subtle American oak.
