James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Good hue, although like Emily Cross, slightly hazy; there are attractive savoury/spicy overtones to the bouquet and medium-bodied palate, with plum and black fruits at the core; finishes very well, and at this juncture is more appealing than Emily Cross.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Strong, deep red-purple; a complex, rich wine from start to finish; plum and blackberry fruit is cradled by ripe tannins and positive oak on the medium- to full-bodied palate, all the components in balance. Gold medal Sydney Wine Show '10.

WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
Generous dark raspberry fruit showing plenty of depth and intensity and supported by quite spicy/biscuity oak. A nice wine!
