Annie's Lane Rose

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

The future looks rosey for Rosé and here’s a fabulous example of something pink and perky from the Clare Valley. This delivers everything you could want from a refreshing chilled wine that pairs well with spicy food or seafood. Red berry vitality with hints of florals before a sweet berry palate and a nicely savoury, dry finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Annie's Lane Rose is salmon pink with cherry hues, displaying rose petals, strawberries and a hint of spice. The palate offers sweet berry fruits supported by savoury tannins and ends with a dry, mouth watering finish. A light bodied wine displaying primary fruit flavours and freshness.

Tyson Stelzer (2011 Vintage) says
Tuned for summer quaffing, the cool 2011 Clare vintage has made for a particularly elegant Annie, and she’s all the more adorable for it! Pomegranate, raspberry and watermelon are all here, with a tangy pink grapefruit finish. Fine-grained texture and subtle fruit sweetness make for a very fresh, vibrant blend of malbec, mourvèdre and sangiovese.

Vivid fuchsia/magenta; as bright and lively as the colour suggests, with an interplay of strawberry, cherry and raspberry before an almost imperiously dry finish.

Here's an impressive Clare Valley rose that is sure to please. It's clean, fresh and floral, features ripe, sweet raspberry and red cherry flavours and has a zippy, dryish finish.
