Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Bright green-yellow; attractive, full-bodied style; ripe lemon and pear fruit; good balance.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
Jeremy Oliver (2005 Vintage) says
Clean and refreshing, this simple and austere Semillon has a dusty, creamy nose of green melon and butter with grassy undertones, which gradually reveals floral suggestions and hints of sweet oak. There's a chalkiness beneath its melon/lemon fruit and restrained vanilla oak, while it finishes with tangy, citrusy acids.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Glowing yellow-green; a rich wine with complex texture and structure to the lemon/preserved lemon fruit; nice balance.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
A shapely, crystalline and brightly flavoured semillon of elegance and definition. Its minerally perfume of honeydew melon and citrus fruit precedes a smooth and brightly flavoured palate punctuated by refreshing acids. Its lingering core of white peach, mango and melon flavour is partnered by a restrained expression of toasty vanilla oak. Should reward short-term cellaring.

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Very attractive early developing style; medium to full-bodied; ripe lemon and tropical fruit mix; rich, but not phenolic.
Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005
James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Light to medium yellow-green; the firm bouquet has lemon and faintly toasty aromas, the palate has good balance and structure, but shortens off somewhat on the finish.
Australian Wine Companion 2004 2003
Jeremy Oliver (2002 Vintage) says
Dusty aromas of lemon, honey and melon are scented with lightly toasty oak. Its round, chewy palate begins with generous lemon detergent and honeydew melon fruit before finishing lean, dry and tight-knit, with lingering vanilla oak and lemony acids.
Australian Wine Annual 2005 2004
James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Glowing, medium to full yellow-green; rich, ripe fruit on the bouquet is followed by a palate with abundant fruit weight and complexity, round, full and rich. A rare beast - a drink-now Semillon.
Australian Wine Companion 2003 2002
James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; a smooth, clean and soft bouquet offers a hint of honey; the palate is already showing some weight but will develop further in the short term.
