Cracka Review

Made from the native moschofilero grape, this is a lot like muscat with it's fragrant, floral scents reminiscent of a rose bush, and it's sweet-fruited nose that smells liked crystilised citrus rind. The palate is quite light-bodied and frisky, with confected flavours, a creamy mouthfeel, and a silky, citrusy finish. This would go down well with some fresh sardines.

Winemaker's Notes

The Antonopolous 2011 has all that plus a delightful floral nose with hints of candied peel and quince, as well as creamed honey and a touch of phenolics on the palate, which adds to its mouthfeel. It's not overly complicated; it's just a delicious drink, especially with fried whitebait and skordalia.

Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
There are lovely floral notes in this 100% Moschofilero. It has a bright, sweet perfume and a lifted edge _ a great fragrance, summery and floral, with wild herbs, some leesy elements too. The palate has bright, smooth and creamy elements all knitted together with good acidity. Some great depth; length is acid drive here. Lemon finish.
