Anvers Razorback Road Shiraz Cabernet

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
A well-made blend of that great Aussie tradition: shiraz (85 per cent) and cabernet sauvignon (14 per cent). Yep, we have a little lovely here. It's sweet and ripe and well-weighted, its flavours of raspberry and boysenberry are well complemented by cabernet's dusty tones. Modest tannin, but enough, and excellent fruitiness. Not complicated, but highly pleasurable.

Campbell Mattinson (2005 Vintage) says
This wine technically comes from the Adelaide Hills but the vineyard, at Kangarilla, is so close to the McLaren Vale region that its flavours are more likely to be robust and chocolaty than elegant and ashen. 2005 RELEASE Solid red wine of length, structure and class. Tastes of malt, blackcurrant, pencils and cedar, the juicy mid-palate swishing heartily onto a chalky, tannin, fruity finish. This has all the right boxes ticked, at a good price. DRINK 2009-2014.
