Whether your name is Gabriel, Michael or Raphael, or even if it isn't, if you like your chardys with a decent hit of oak, the angelic choir will be singing after one sip of this offering out of Central Otago. Smells of ripe stone fruits, buttered toast, and sweet citrus leap out of the glass, whilst the palate is quite rich and fulsome, with a velvety mouthfeel, poised lemony acidity, and a sauntering, fruit and toast finish. Rich poultry dishes would be great with this.
Elegance and finesse characterises this inaugural release Chardonnay 2012. Displaying beautiful
aromas of peaches and floral notes, with hints of spice, biscuit and butterscotch that echo
through to the mid-palate. A seamless, medium-bodied wine with creamy, rounded mouthfeel
and a long, lingering finish.
