This pinot noir from Central Otago is stonkingly good value. It's rare to find one at this sort of price out of the region, so when you do it's best to jump aboard. It's a deep, plummy style of pinot that shows aromas of dark, ripe fruits and sweet spices on the nose, with just a hint of earthiness. The palate is rich and fullsome with sweet, spiced plum flavours, fine tannins, bright acidity, and a long, savoury-edged finish. It could stand up to lamb dishes.
Red currant and wild exotic fruit aromatics, followed by a warm rich and spicy texture with lively acidity and freshness and a lasting finish.
