Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright colour, and effusive, with a balanced blend of toasted cashew, straw and tropical fruit notes in the background; the fleshy palate offers vibrant acidity and a clean toasty finish.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Vibrant green hue; the forward nature and rich bouquet is testament to the age and the vintage of 2009; deeply toasty with a fresh backbone of acidity, this is at optimum drinking right now.

Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
Still to really reveal its best qualities, but give a few more years. Everything is there. A fine and quite delicate Reserve style. There's been a little oak work in this to add some complexity and boy does it work well. Rich and textured yet with a retraining acid that carries it effortlessly to a very long finish. A zippy lip smacking acidity finished a very good wine.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
A 65/35 blend with both flavour and texture complexity from partial barrel fermentation (20% of the semillon was fermented in new French oak), grassy/herbal characters to the fore, but with some riper notes from the sauvignon blanc; good length.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
A 50/50 blend, barrel ferment used to invest the wine with texture and flavour complexity; here the higher percentage of sauvignon blanc has given the wine some juicy fruit flavours alongside herbal notes.
