WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
Bright red wine with lovely intensity of ripe, spicy shiraz fruit perfectly balanced with the oak and showing green but persistent tannins. Good cellaring ahead. 5+
Winestate 2009
Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
Arrowfield is a sizeable estate in the Upper Hunter Valley. In 2006 it joined forces with Mornington Peninsula winery, Red Hill Estate - a little known fact. Nice sort of wine. Smoky and earthy at first, then berried and liquoricey. Typical Hunter in that way _ savouriness first, fruitiness second. It has a slightly jolly acidity too, and is medium-bodied with light, fine tannin. Shows a flick of vanilla, but it's not over-oaked; it's an attractive display of regional charm.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Distinctly regional with savoury/ earthy undertones to the medium-bodied black fruits; slightly hard acidity; needs patience.

WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
Rich, chocolaty nose with nice spicy concentration. Luscious palate with intense fruit flavours. Acid still a little visible at the moment. Long, lingering finish.

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Medium-bodied; fresh red and black fruits; vanilla oak also sits in the front seat; fine tannins. Barossa/McLaren Vale/Hunter.
