ArtWine Graciano

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Graciano is yet another Spanish red grape variety ArtWine specialize in. It's at the riper end of the scale, showing vibrant and heady black stone fruit aromas, with a touch of red cherry. The palate is medium-bodied and cherry flavoured with a lick of spice, and a touch of vanilla, together with fine, soft tannins and a dry finish. Would be great with some Spanish jamon and some crusty bread.

Winemaker's Notes

Graciano is an exciting Spanish variety . Deep garnet in colour and dispalying dark red Morello cherries and hints of five spice flavours. The wine shows soft rounded tannins with a touch of French oak to complement the palate.

Food match with Spanish dishes, Tapas and strong flavours such as casseroles and game.

I would never expect young vine graciano to rise to the calibre of this esteemed list, but such is the beauty of the pure morello cherry bouquet and elegant-bodied fresh cherry palate of this stylishly crafted wine that its position is secure. Finely structured, textural tannins add to its fresh appeal and drinkability. Give it a light chill and roll it out for summer lunches.
