Ash Ridge Hawke's Bay Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
Grown in The Triangle, the 2010 vintage is a single-vineyard wine, fermented and lees-aged for five months in old oak barrels. It's a classic regional style, weighty, ripe and rich, with good complexity and generous tropical-fruit flavours.

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
Grown in The Triangle, the 2009 vintage is a single-vineyard wine, fermented (partly with indigenous yeasts) in old oak barrels. Ripely scented, with vibrant, tropical-fruit characters to the fore, it is medium-bodied (12 per cent alcohol), with very good depth of flavour, showing some complexity, and a finely balanced, dry finish. A good food wine.
