Ashton Hills Gewurztraminer

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
There aren't too many Australian locations that can claim to make great gewurz, but Ashton Hills has a knack for capturing the ripeness it needs without losing freshness. Plenty of trademark lychee and rosewater on the nose, some spicy citrus and ginger biscuits too. The palate has a lovely ball of smooth texture and flesh, the barrel-fermentation has worked a charm, and it all finishes with bright-pink Turkish delight flavour.
