Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines
Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 is deeply coloured, fruity and smooth, with ripe blackcurrant, herb and nut flavours, gentle tannins and some savoury complexity. The 2010 vintage, matured in French oak casks (one-third new), has fresh, moderately ripe, plummy, herbal flavours. A vibrantly fruity wine, it has drink-young appeal, but also shows a slight lack of warmth and richness.

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
The 2008 vintage matured in French oak barriques, has deep, youthful colour. It's a medium-bodied style (12.5 per cent alcohol), fruity, flavoursome and supple, with fresh acidity, and should mature solidly.
