Askerne Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
This is a clearly bur not pungently herbaceous Hawke's Bay wine with satisfying weight and depth. The 1999 vintage is a partly barrel-fermented blend, with 20 per cent Sauvignon Blanc. Maturing solidly, it's still fresh and tight, with crisp, lemony, grassy flavours of moderate intensity and good varietal characters.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
This is a clearly but not pungently herbaceous Hawke's Bay wine with satisfying weight and depth. The 1998 vintage 30 per cent oak-aged, is weighty, ripely herbal and rounded, with grapefruit/lime flavours, a touch of wood adding complexity and a slightly buttery finish. It's a good food wine, still developing.
