Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
A consistently rewarding wine. Estate-grown on the south side of the Wairau Valley, hand-picked and fermented (partly with indigenous yeasts) in French oak barriques (40 per cent new), the 2008 vintage is full-bodied and youthful, with rich, ripe, peachy, slightly creamy flavours, good texture and obvious cellaring potential. The classy 2007 has a biscuity, mealy bouquet. Weighty and youthful, it is sweet-fruited, with concentrated, vibrant, grapefruit like flavours, showing good complexity, a hint of butterscotch, and a slightly creamy finish.

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
The 2002 vintage is a mouthfilling (14 per cent alcohol), well-rounded wine, fresh and elegant, with sweet fruit characters and rich grapefruit and peach, slightly buttery flavours showing very good harmony and depth. The crisper 2003 is distinctly buttery, fresh and vibrant, with grapefruit, lime and toasty oak flavours and a smooth finish.
