Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage is a richly coloured, firmly structured Central Otago red with good concentration and complexity. Fragrant, with cherry, spice, herb and chocolate flavours, and a strong seasoning of nutty oak, it shows good potential. The 2010, matured for nine months in French oak barriques (33 per cent new), is deeply coloured, with rich, vibrant plum/ spice flavours, concentrated and complex, and a backbone of film, ripe tannins. Still youthful, it's a cellaring style; open 2013+.

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
The savoury, dense 2008 vintage is a Central Otago red, hand-picked at 24.5 brix and oak-aged for 10 months. Deeply coloured, with deliciously concentrated plum, cherry and spice flavours, oak complexity and a fairly firm finish, it's an opulent wine with a core of sweet fruit and good supporting tannins.
