B3 Wines Cabernet Sauvignon

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

B3 is the brainchild of the Basedow brothers from the Barossa. We love what they are doing with Cabernet and this is just so drinkable right now that we don’t believe you’ll mange to lay any bottles in your cellar. This is evocative of roasted coffee, tobacco and mint;in other words pure Cabernet character. We love the black fruit, chocolate and menthol before a tsunami of tannins coats the throat and delivers a structured, persistent finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Deep crimson with purple hues. The wine exudes the evocative aromas of roasting coffee beans, freshly picked mint, luscious blackcurrant and dried tobacco leaves. Unmistakably Cabernet, this wine displays the classic flavours of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, intense dark Swiss chocolate, peppery mint and menthol on the palate. Chewy tannins create a brilliantly structured palate; robust in the mid-palate to complement the array of intense flavours, yet soft enough to deliver a finish of great length and finesse.

B3 Wines Cabernet Sauvignon

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Deep crimson - impressive; so too is the flavour and structure of the wine, that must have been an exercise in perfect timing of the harvest, for it has varietal character, and is not heated by alcohol.
Australian Wine Companion 2012
James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Well-articulated cabernet fruit, again with a hint of sweetness for broad market appeal.
