Cracka Review

One of the best things the Barossa has ever done is given Australia the most memorable blends of Grenache Shiraz and Mourvedre. B3 could relate to the number of varieties in this red or it could be a reference to the three brothers behind the label. Either way you’ll be smitten by this bountiful red with notes of licorice and red fruits, it’s generous with a ripe mid palate, a good balance and subtle oak.

Winemaker's Notes

Cherry red in colour. The nose shows an attractive spice characteristic typical of Grenache, with hints of fennel, licorice and garrigue. Lifted red fruits of cheery and savoury bacon notes. There is an abundance of ripe warm Barossa mid palate depth with balanced and fine oak playing a secondary role.

Mid garnet; vine sap and red fruits display themselves, with the medium-bodied palate offering a silky and finely structured experience; fleshy, forward and eminently drinkable as a young wine, and will be best enjoyed as such.

The typical sweet fruit opening of this blend, but builds authority on the finish, with more savoury notes from the shiraz and mourvedre.

Medium-bodied; very good balance, texture and structure; the fruit flavours of the varieties come together seamlessly in a black cherry, red cherry, blackberry stream; fine, ripe tannins.
