Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
The 2007 vintage was fermented and lees-aged in a mix of tanks (70 per cent) and old French oak casks. It's a full-bodied wine with attractive, citrusy, slightly appley flavours and a crisp, dry finish. The 2008 is an enjoyable, drink-young style — mouthfilling, fruity, lemony, slightly spicy and crisp.

Michael Cooper (2005 Vintage) says
The 2005 vintage is a dry Hawke's Bay wine, grown at Fernhill and fermented and lees-aged in a mix of tanks (50 per cent) and old French oak barriques. Floral, fresh and rounded, with lemony, spicy flavours and a slightly oily texture, it shows very good varietal character and drinkability.
