Significantly riper and more complex than the Storm Ridge; spice, plum with some bramble and earth

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Fully ripe, complex, intense, dark plum; even a touch of licorice; slight hardness, but may soften with age.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Good pinot colour; the light bouquet mixes plum and more savoury/foresty notes, the wine coming into its own on the palate, which has considerable presence, and a particularly long, savoury finish. What is best described as a dry fruit style, as opposed to opulent. One hundred per cent estate-grown.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Full red; the moderately fragrant bouquet has a mix of foresty/savoury and plum fruit aromas; on the palate, ripe, plummy fruit shows clear varietal character, the palate shortening off slightly on the finish.
