Balgownie Estate Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
Balgownie Estate is most famous for its Bendigo reds, but its expansion into the Yarra Valley has been very successful. Excellent place to visit too. We're wary of smoke issues with 2007 Victorian wines (from rampant bushfires), but every wine needs to be judged on its own merits; there are still lots of good 2007 Victorian wines around. This has bright, cherry fruit flavours with wisps of game and light, spicy vanillin oak. Fresh acid and just a smidgen of smoke in the aftertaste -attractively so. We like it.
