Cracka Review

Gewurtztraminer roughly translates to mean ‘Spicy Traminer’ alluding to the aromatic lift of this captivating white style. Considering Australia’s love affair with Asian flavours we are surprised we don’t see more people drinking Gewurz. Here’s your chance to try a drop dead gorgeous rendition of the grape from the Currency Creek winery, Ballast Stone. This has a rich vein of luscious tropical fruit with hints of spice before a textured palate that is full of rich fruit flavours, a gentle sweetness and a burst of acid refreshment.

Winemaker's Notes

The first distinct impression is the highly aromatic nose and palate of rose petals, lychees & spice, which meld perfectly and lead to a surprisingly crisp dry finish. Excellent accompaniment to Thai food.
