The RMS stands for the director of the company, Richard Morton Shaw. It represents the very pinnacle of Cabernet grapes and is only made in exceptional vintages when the fruit is deemed good enough. This is classic McLaren Vale Cabernet showing blackcurrant and mint aromas with some dark chocolate and subtle oak. The palate is full and broody with intense black fruits and really well structured tannins. A wine that’s perfect for a special occasion, or to put away for a few more years.

Winemaker's Notes

Selected from 65 year old McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon vines, this wine was matured in French Oak hogsheads for 32 months. Cherry & mint aromas & chocolate oak dominate the nose & carry through to the full, round palate, that finishes with soft velvety tannins. Decant wine & allow to breathe before enjoying. Drink now or cellar for 7-10 years.
