WINESTATE (2009 Vintage) says
Big, warm, oak-driven cabernet - very juicy and with a grippy tannic spine.
Winestate magazine 2010
James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
RMS is the flagship release named in honour of Ballast Stone Estate founder. Richard Morton Shaw. It is made from 65-year-old vines, and spent two years in French oak hogsheads. A distinguished full-bodied wine, with blackcurrant and a dash of choc-mint, the tannins ripe. Slightly less oak might have been better but it dosen't disfigure the wine. 15% alc.
