Cracka Review

Dark red colour with a red hue. A lifted nose with leathery, savoury, dark cherry and sweet Christmas cake aromas. Hints of Cabernet "sauvage" give a certain wildness to the nose.

The palate is full, rich and savoury. There is a certain sweetness in the mid-palate that is balanced by the very long fine tannins that drive through the wine. This palate is more about texture, structure and complexity rather than simple varietal fruit flavours. A wine that will reward time in the decanter and time in the cellar.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
A distinctly elegant wine, with fine tannins supporting a mouthwatering array of predominantly red fruits. Very clever winemaking has produced an excellent result. Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Shiraz.
