Banrock Station Tempranillo

Expert Reviews

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
The montepulciano in this new Banrock Station range might be good, but this tempranillo is much better. It has picked up the odd award on the wine show circuit too. Freshness, juiciness, vibrancy. Has an excellent mix of meaty spiciness and aniseed-like flavours. Talk about savouriness. It has tannin grip, but these tannins fold into the wine, like a soft glove around the juicy, sweet-savoury fruitiness. Drink it with basic tomato and basil pasta.
