Cracka Review

A very dark ruby, with black forest, liquorice and tar with some spicy oak on the nose. A Typically varietal shiraz with a perfumed aroma that is dominated by liquorice and forrest notes. The palate is full of rich fruit, substantial tannins and a solid finish highlighted by American and French oak.

Ray Jordan (2011 Vintage) says
The excellent 20011 vintage in WA has allowed so solid fruit to be pumped into this value for money shiraz. Plums and blackberry notes with an attractive savoury influence. Builds in the mouth with firmish tannins and list oak supporting a long finish. A little savoury leaf on the finish to close.

Some colour development; spice, pepper, blackberry and a wisp of dark chocolate on the bouquet are repeated on the medium-bodied palate. Obvious value.

Developed, chocolaty aromas and a lovely silky-smooth palate filled with soft, ripe fruit flavours.

This is a lively fresh shiraz built to a strongly fruit-driven formula. The flavours of ripe plum and dusty earthiness strike a nice note on the palate. There's some decent depth and concentration in the middle palate and clearly this vineyard shows promise.
