Cracka Review

Dense, rich primary fruit aromas of mulberry, black cherry and Blackberry underlined by dark chocolate and some mint characters. Sweet vanillin oak aromas add further complexity and depth to the nose.

Best enjoyed with full flavoured foods such as grilled beef and game meats, particularly with rich sauces such as reduction jus, mushroom and wine or even robust tomato flavours.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Good colour; has rich plum and blackberry fruit on both bouquet and palate, vanillan oak making its presence felt on the palate; the tannins ate ripe, the balance good.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Traditional Barossa Valley style; gentle black fruits and dark chocolate with lots of vanilla oak; soft tannins, and ready now.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the wine has good fruit aroma, flavour, structure and length; it is not over-extracted nor forced by oak, and has a harmonious finish.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the bouquet is clean, with sweet, rich fruit and voluminous vanilla oak. An interesting wine which in some ways is the epitome of Barossa Valley style, but the oak is formidable,
